RELIABLE BATTERY CHARGING THROUGH SIMPLE CONSTRUCTION

THE INITIAL SITUATION

With the aim of sustaining small cable car systems, Ueli Schmitter is always on the lookout for cost-efficient, easy-to-install solutions for his cable car Braendlen in Wolfenschiessen.

THE SOLUTION

In total, 16 ROSTA SE tensioner devices were installed at both cable car stations, acting as current collectors for the recharging of the batteries needed by the cable car. The cabin battery is charged at the terminal station in the valley or on the mountain.

PRODUCTS USED

The ROSTA tensioner device type SE is the standard model for the tension of conventional chain and belt drives. The SE element can also be used to press something together. The springs are based on highly elastic, dimensionally stable natural rubber and are suitable for ambient temperatures of –40°C – +80°C.
